Let's take the various football codes - I may upset some fans here, but hear me out.
Whether it’s Rugby Union, Football (soccer), Rugby League, Grid Iron, Australian Rules Football and all other variants on the theme. The objective of all of these sports is for one team to get the ball to the other end and through the goal. The objective of the opposition is to stop that happening. It really is that simple.
The differentiating factor is that all of those games have different rules that players need to abide by.
Here's the kicker, the rules are made up. Someone or a collective or people made up those rules.
Life is the same. Make up your own rules. We do have actual laws - don't break those, but outside of that make up your own game, your own rules
