On the top of the harbour bridge with Andrew Farris from INXS

This time 3 years ago I was recovering from being part of the team delivering Australia Day on Sydney Harbour. This was the first year that the aboriginal flag was flown at the top of the Harbour bridge. Each year the acknowledgement and inclusion of the aboriginal people has evolved and grown sparking conversation with a depth of love and care for the people that were and the people that are between the elders and the event team. I’m proud that I was part of that team for so many years. Happy Australia Day to all the people that call Australia home.

Plus standing on the top of Sydney Harbour Bridge under the flag with Andrew Farris from INXS was pretty freaking cool.

We acknowledge and pay respects to the Yugambeh people of the Gold Coast and all their descendants both past and present. We also acknowledge the many Aboriginal people from other regions as well as Torres Strait and South Sea Islander people who now live in the local area and have made an important contribution to the community.
