The rhythm of nature amongst all the turmoil

Writer: Pixicato PlayPixicato Play

Have you noticed that nature is still doing nature things and playing and being and living in the moment, in abundance without guilt or holding back with no prejudice no matter what’s going on.

It’s been a weird week for me as I process all that is happening in the world, sifting through all the feels and thoughts of all that is happening in the world right now. I’m slowly creeping out from the metaphorical covers and this afternoon as I chose to work outside a swan just glided up and boistrously honked and demanded my attention.

I’ve been in total discomfort with being creative and playful and light. For the first time in over a week I grabbed my phone and little tripod and captured the moment. The swan patiently waited for me to setup and even tried to help …we were physically closer than I ever imagined being to a swan however I kept a respectfully safe distance for both of our safety.

It literally came all the way up to the beach, almost all the way up to me and we played together. When I raised my arms to the sky the swan raised it’s head and honked. We had so much fun together.

I give thanks to the swan and nature for the reminder that I’m here to play and connect. Always. It reminded me that I too can continue to play and be and live in the moment, in abundance, without guilt or holding back too while also honouring what is important to me.
